How to Verify Original Cisco SFP modules

Is there any tool that verify the authenticity and originality of Cisco SFP modules via part # or Serial #.

Does the SFP have a Cisco logo?  If it does, then it's genuine.  

Another method is to insert the SFP into any port.  Counterfeit will cause the port to go into error-disable.  

Finally, send the serial number to TAC and they can verify.

Counterfeit cisco sfps can have cisco logo.

I would check if the serial match on bag, sfp and in the system.

The serial should be in format: 3 letters, followed by 4 numbers, followed by 4 letters/numbers.
