Hi,
I am planning to start using port teaming on a HP DL360 G6 server that is connected to a Cisco Catalyst model 2960. Are there any special configuration that I need to make on the Cisco Catalyst in order for the port teaming on the HP server to work?

That depends upon what kind of teaming you gonna use..
1. Fault tolerance >> No configuration required on switch side, use the same port type access/trunk
2. Transmit Load Balance with FT >> no configuration required on switch side, use the same port type access/trunk
3. Switch assisted FT >> Etherchannel using LACP for bundled ports on switch.
