I can not take an IOS backup from 2960 switch when i ran "show flash" no file displayed as bin extension
How can i take backup from the switch ios?
Can i take a backup from ROMON and how i can do that ?
Can you please post the result of the show flash command? The .bin is most likely stored in a folder with the same name as the IOS file. e.g flash:/ios/ios.bin
If you want to "backup" your IOS, go to the Cisco website and download the complete TAR file.
As to you can't find your IOS, like what previous poster has commented, the BIN file is most likely stored in a sub-directory.
1. dir flash:c2960<HIT TAB>
2. Press enter.
Thank you sehughes and Leo for your concern
Can you check the result and tell me what to do

Hi Heba ,
this IOS file is saved under the directory, try doing this :
SW#copy flash:c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-53.SE2/c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-53.SE2.bin tftp:
Your .bin file will be in this directory
