ip routing is enabled on all the switches. The first switch can ping 172.16.25.1 and 172.16.25.2. The second can only ping 172.16.25.1 but not the .2 address. Thank you

Hi,

To answer your question, you will need a return route from the router to the switches network (eg. route to 192.168.25.0/24 network). You can add the following command on the router:-

ip route 192.168.25.0 255.255.255.0 172.16.25.1

Thank you for help. I currently do not have access to the equipment but I will test it first thing tomorrow morning!

Hello,

how are these devices interconnected ?

The switches are interconnected on ports 23 and 24. I have trunking enabled on those ports. I’ve also made sure that spanning-tree is active to prevent any L2 loops. The switch that works is then connected from port 22 (also trunking) to the routers g0/1 interface that has the 172. Ip address
