I think I have a spanning problem

jfeo

Level 1

The problem occurs every 24 hours network locks up after rebooting all switches seems to be fine.

One switch I see in flash

3560 12.2.37 SE1

irectory of flash:/

2 drwx 256 Feb 27 2009 20:25:57 -05:00 crashinfo_ext

4 drwx 256 Feb 28 1993 19:00:03 -05:00 crashinfo

5 -rwx 616 Feb 28 1993 19:00:28 -05:00 vlan.dat

465 drwx 192 Feb 28 1993 19:13:52 -05:00 c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-37.SE1

7 -rwx 10163 Mar 1 2009 22:02:31 -05:00 config.text

8 -rwx 1928 Mar 1 2009 22:02:31 -05:00 private-config.text

I also see this in the logs with different mac address.

%SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF:Host 00a0.f856.4a72 in vlan 1 is flapping between port Gi0/2 and port Gi0/1

%SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF: Host 0004.009c.d5e7 in vlan 1 is flapping between port Gi0/2 and port Gi0/1

%SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF: Host 00a0.f856.4f1c in vlan 1 is flapping between port Gi0/2 and port Gi0/1

This might sound weird but

this pops in and out of the config on same switch

switchport trunk pruning vlan 2-960,969-1001

I don't think there is a hub on the network.

eternet ports are configured

switchport

switchport mode access

spanning-tree portfast

switchport nonegotiate

spanning-tree guard root

no cdp enable

no shut

backbone fiber ports are configured as

int range g01/-2

switchport

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport trunk allowed vlan 1

switchport trunk native vlan 99

switchport mode trunk

switchport nonegotiate

no shut

I don't think there is a hub on the network.

I wouldn't say that if I were you. Not unless you have done visual inspection of all (desk) patch ports in your building.

I noticed that you don't have the command "spanning-tree bpduguard enabled".
