ICMP packet to the Nexus Clusters (2 x C7010) is lost

Currently, my two Nexus core switches which configured with HSRP and VPC are experiencing high CPU usage and ICMP packet lose.

Symptom:

1. Lost ICMP traffic generated from or sent to Nexus. But we can telnet and ssh.

10.1.31.1 is the HSRP gateway IP configured in the Nexuses.

2. There is no any outage or ICMP lose of the end users whose gateway IP address is the HSRP IP set in Nexus.

10.1.31.11 is one of the end user IP which gateway IP address is 10.1.31.1

3. Checked one of the VDC cpu, found  the processes "netstack" was occupying 100% of the
CPU usage.

Jacky,

Use the ethanalyzer tool from the default VDC to see what is hitting the inband. Also if using CoPP may be another reason ICMP loss to the switch. What code are you running on the N7k?
