Hello all,
I'm running into the fairly well documented issue of certin intel nics in Dell (and in my case) Fujitsu computers flooding the network with ICMPv6 Multicast Listener Report message when the PC is in sleep mode. I've had this happen multiple times in the past few days and was able to track down the offending PCs, shut their ports down, and then go back and disable IPv6.
From what research I've do so far, there doesn't seem to be a solution for this from a networking gear perspective. I've got the SVI on that vlan configured with multicast routing, but that doesn't help keep a PC from flooding the network with messages.
Any thoughts?
