I was reading about PIM and the designated router.
If the router is acting as an IGMPv1 querier, and there are other IGMPv1 queriers on the same LAN segment, do all queriers send out general query messages? Let's assume that none of them have PIM enabled on their interfaces, so there's no way to elect a PIM DR.
In the case that they are all running PIM, what is the process of exchanging PIM messages with each other to elect the DR?
