Hey guys,
I'm getting this syslog message every minute or so on my core Catalyst 6513 (s72033_rp-IPSERVICESK9_WAN-M), Version 12.2(33)SXI5:
%MCAST-SPSTBY-6-ETRACK_STATS_LIMIT_EXCEEDED: Number of entries in IGMP snooping explicit-tracking statistics has exceeded the maximum limit (70000)
So I do this:
cat6513#sh ip igmp snooping explicit-tracking
Current number of entries: 12439 Configured DB size limit: 70000
<output omitted>
I believe this next show command is unrelated, but here it is anyway:
cat6513#sh ip igmp snooping statistics
Current number of Statistics entries : 11281
Configured Statistics database limit : 70000
Configured Statistics database threshold: 56000
Configured Statistics database limit : Not exceeded
Configured Statistics database threshold: Not exceeded
<output omitted>
Am I missing something here, or does this seem like an erroneous syslog message? I've considered a clear ip igmp snooping statistics, but since the statistics do not appear to be exceeded, felt that I'd rather not unless I know what the problem is.
Thanks.
