I can't for the life of me find the instructions on the cisco.com site. Been looking for 2 days. I'm trying to install s72033-adventerprisek9_wan-mz.122-33.SXI1 on a Sup720 that's running 122-33.SXI7. If someone can provide a link for me that would be much appreciated.
Thanks

You are downgrading from SXI7 to SXI1? Have you tried SXJ1 first?
Here's the instructions:
1. Copy the IOS from the TFTP server or compact flash (CF) to the sup-bootflash;
2. Change the bootstring to something like this:
boot system sup-bootdisk:
boot system sup-bootdisk:
3. Save your config.

If so, load your IOS image where ever you have sufficient space for your image, except for bootflash: (which should be too small for the IOS you want to load).
If insufficient space, free some by deleting or formatting existing storage. (On older formatted storage, you need to squees the storage after deleting files to actually make the deleted space available.)
Once the IOS is loaded, insure any boot system commands have it as the first or only named boot image. If no boot system commands, your IOS image must be the first bootable image on the default storage.
Reload system.
PS:
New IOS image can be copied to sup720 storage using copy command or it can be pre-loaded on external compact flash cards. (When doing the latter, you need to insure the formatting of the card is understood by the sup720.)
