Hi friend,
I have one old customer. They are using Catalyst 4503 chassis with SUP-II + TS supervisor Engine.
IOS version is Cat4000-I9K91S-M 12.2(25) EWA7.
I have one question in the sup. Whether we can use this switch for inter vlan process without any router support.
I checked in feature navigator for the same IOS. It shows IProuting feature is available in this IOS.
Please give a confirm on this. If I enable the IProuting (cat 3750 switch will work) command for Intervlan Process.
Is there any other command is require for the intervlan process? Or Is this sup is not support for Inter vlan process.
Please send a valuable reply.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Saravanan.

Hi ,
there will be no problem in enabling the routing functionality.
The supevervisor is supporting it .It is supporting also static routing and dynamic routing ( RIP and EIGRP stub ).
The only thing that you will have to do is ïn the global configuration mod enter "ip routing".
If you have already configured the SVI ( interface vlans ) the equipment will automaticaly do the inter-vlan routing.

Hi,
In 4500 series switches we don't need to use IP Rotuing command to enable layer 3 feature, It already has Layer 3 feature.
