Im planning for an IOS upgrade for 3750E-48TD-S Stacked Switch since the existing ios is an obsolete version. The existing IOS runinning on the switch is 12.2(50)SE2 (c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-50.SE2.bin) .Can someone please suggest a recommended version for this switch. Also the feature sets that im using on this switches are Etherchannel,Static route,SNMP,ACL,VLANs,and basic configurations.

I have also checked checked on the software research webpage provided by cisco, but im not getting any new IOS when i fill in software image file that is being used now. Hope there has to be a minimum required software to upgrade it to a newer version but im not able to find it .Im confused here.Need someone to help as these switches are running in Production network.

Also my another doubt is "Is it possible to reboot the switch one by one after the upgrade, because as i said the existing switches are in Production and should not be Impacted".

in the software download page rtumu refers to, this software is available for your model.

also the release notes do not list your model in the NOT SUPPORTED models:

Release Notes for the Catalyst 3750, 3560, 3560-C, 2960, 2960-S, 2960-C, and 2960-Plus Switches, Cisco IOS Release 15.0(2)SE and Later

Cisco IOS Release 15.0(2)SE and later runs on Catalyst 3750, 3560, 3560-C, 2960, 2960-S, 2960-C, and 2960-Plus switches and on Cisco EtherSwitch service modules.

Note Not all Catalyst 3750 and 3560 switches can run this release. These models are not supported in Cisco IOS Release 12.2(58)SE1 and later: WS-C3560-24TS, WS-C3560-24PS. WS-C3560-48PS, WS-C3560-48TS, WS-C3750-24PS, WS-C3750-24TS, WS-C3750-48PS, WS-C3750-48TS, WS-3750G-24T, WS-C3750G-12S, WS-C3750G-24TS, WS-C3750G-16TD. For ongoing maintenance rebuilds for these models, use Cisco IOS Release 12.2(55)SE and later (SE1, SE2, and so on).

What more confirmation do you need that 15.2 is available?

but 12.2.55-SE12 MD is still the Cisco recommended version

So as Leo said "take a pick"

Hi Ravindra

When i checked Release notes for this version, the supported hardware list
for my switch is not listed.

Open a case might help you further.

Thanks

and NO, the switches cannot be upgraded and rebooted separately!

Thanks Pieterh.
One more thing to clarify.. To upgrade from 12 to 15 how much time will it take to complete the upgrade process.

Around 45 minutes because of the (undocumented) micro-code upgrade.

45 min for the whole stack or one switch.

Each switch.
But if the stack needs to do a micro-code upgrade, then the entire stack will take 45 minutes to upgrade the micro-code and IOS.
