iOS upgrade for WS-C4948-10GE ipbase to enterprise

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade my WS-C4948-10GE from ipbase (cat4500-ipbase-mz.122-46.SG.bin) to enterprise (cat4500-entservicesk9-mz.122-54.SG1.bin) so that I can run some BGP routing. I pulled the code from Cisco, tftp'd to the switch ensured the conf-reg is correct (0x2102) and set the boot system flash command to point to the enterprise code.

on reboot the switch tries to load the new code but gets stuck at:

I had also tried pulling down a different version of enterprise code (cat4500-entservicesk9-mz.122-53.SG6.bin) but I get the same issue.

Am I missing something obvious?

Please ignore this - seems we need a license upgrade

I knew it'd be simple.

  Interesting post though  in earlier versions it would just let you upgrade the versions so it is good to know if you are upgrading from base to enterprise.
