Hi
I have a ws-c2960-48tc-l switch with ios version: " C2960 Software (C2960-LANBASE-M), Version 12.2(44)SE2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) ",
JUAFINASW1#sh ver

JUAFINASW1 uptime is 23 hours, 4 minutes
System returned to ROM by power-on
System image file is "flash:c2960-lanbase-mz.122-44.SE2/c2960-lanbase-mz.122-44.
SE2.bin"
------------------------------------------------------
I need to upgrade to version 12.2(50)SE5, I do all steps for that and install the image file: " c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-50.SE5.bin ", afther that the switch starts and save all configurations, but I can not see, it is not pinging and can not does telnet using the ip address, I was to downgrade the ios to previous version.
It has connected usign Gig 0/1 port and it is configured only with switchport mode trunk,
The core switch has the follow configuration on the link port
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk
speed nonegotiate
spanning-tree portfast disable
I upgrade other switches from same model and all works, but I don't know why this switch is not responding.

I would get a console on the switch in question and check the VLAN interface has come up correctly?

So Gig0/1 is connected to the WS-C4503?
And your VLAN1 interface (10.131.0.10) is up but you can't PING the 4503 from this directly connected switch?
I assume you are trying to PING the VLAN1 interface address of the 4503?
And it worked before you changed the IOS?

that is correct, before I upgrade the IOS version I can ping from vlan1.
I did the upgrade, after that I can not ping from Ws-C2960 and from any outside PC or switch

Might be worth asking the service provider what Layer 2 MAC Address they have against your connection.
Its not unheard of for the mac to stick
You should ensure your mac address table is cleared also for assured connection.
Another cause of this could be quick swapping of connections....can cause problems at layer2
