IOS wont boot (ISR4321)

I tried pretty much all already. One thing I haven't is I didn't replace the IOS with different version. Below is whats happening. I'm getting errors when trying to choose the image. Eventually, I;m able to bring up bootflash as you can see below, but then some commands dont work. I finally choose one that does, it does it's thing and then just goes in circles. The below pretty much says it all. Any ideas?

Ensure that it is a FAT32 formatted USB....  Most of the larger USB sticks over 32gb are formatted with NTFS or something else from what I have seen.  When I put a 256gb NTFS formatted USB in my router it did not recognize it and i had to find me a smaller one...  I used a Lexar 32gb.  It could see it from ROMMON and from the IOS... You can always then boot from the USB a 3.x code like isr4300-universalk9.03.16.04a.S.155-3.S4a-ext.SPA.bin then upgrade the rommon and move to Denali or Everest.  Just load the code on the USB stick.

In rommon mode set the new ios boot image and save configuration.

ex: 

set BOOT=bootflash:/isr4300-universalk9.16.09.03.SPA.bin

sync 

restart router.

Use boot bootflash: then your old IOS name from rommon mode.

Thank you this worked perfectly! took a min to realize I had to go  back to the config and remove the wrong boot configs but this really helped fix my issue. Thank you so much
