Dear Techs,

I am using the following command to bind the mac address to ip for printers

ip dhcp snooping binding xxxx.xxxx.xxxx vlan xx xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx  interface gig x/x/x   expiry 1000000000(because we have ip dhcp snooping and ip arp inspection on Vlans)

unfortunately most of the times i am forced to re aply the command after some days to mak the printer work again.Is there any time duration for this command or this is not saved in running config?.

can somebody suggest me a permanent solution for this?

Hi,

To configure static IP source binding use:

ip source binding xxx.xxx.xxx vlan x ip interface gig x/x/x

You will bound a specific MAC, IP and VLAN.
