IP SLA probes between 2900 (15.0) and 2800 (12.4)

Hello,

I've problem with IP SLA probes between two different routers.

2900 (c2900-universalk9_npe-mz.SPA.151-4.M4.bin) here is set "ip sla responder" only

and

2800 (c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T2.bin) here is set two type of tests "udp-jitter" and "icmp-jitter" - temporary, used to check for availability of 2900 router.

As a result, I've what udp-jitter doesn't work at the same time icmp-jitter test is OK.

Here are the settings of IP SLA tests

ip sla 281

icmp-jitter 172.25.28.1 source-ip 192.168.28.6 num-packets 100

tos 128

frequency 120

ip sla schedule 281 life forever start-time after 00:05:45

ip sla 284

udp-jitter 172.25.28.1 28287 source-ip 192.168.28.6 num-packets 100

tos 128

frequency 120

ip sla schedule 284 life forever start-time after 00:06:00

clock works correctly on both routers,

I've trying to setup "ip sla responder udp-echo port 28287" on 2900 router, but this has no effect.

Hi,

Can you post the IP SLA configuration from the Cisco 2900 router? I never normally specify the port on the responder, so leaving it to the IP SLA control protocol to negotiate and communicate that between probe and responder.

Also are you able to run debug ip sla error 0 on the IP SLA responder and post that output here?

Regards

Hi,

Configuration from 2900 router are below.

I've turned on debug, and here are no any errors.

2900#sh run | i ip sla

ip sla responder

2900#deb ip sla err 0

2900#term mon

2900#

2900#sh ip sla respo

There are errors in the messages of 2800 router debug.
