ISR

Hi Team,

I have isr router am trying to insert SFP Transceiver on the gi0/0/2 port but interface is not coming up same is showing the amber LED.

Interface              IP-Address               OK?  Method Status                Protocol

GigabitEthernet0/0/2   unassigned      YES TFTP   down                  down

As the inerface showing the method as TFTP can any one tell how to change this method what is the command for the same.

Please confirm the comparability of the Transceiver part:-GLC-T in isr4431 router.

Re: ISR

Hi,

It should be compatible. Is the router seeing the sfp? What is the output of the "show interface GigabitEthernet0/0/2" what is connected at the other end of the link?

Thanks

John

Re: ISR

Hi,

Try adding the command "media-type sfp" to the port and try connecting that port to a switch or use a crossover cable to the laptop

Thanks

John

Won't work because the SFP module is NOT Cisco-branded and flashed the wrong way.
