Issue with IP SLA TRACK

Hi,

I have an issue with IP SLA. My syslog shows this log:

Message: RouterAer1: *Nov 30 04:31:09.426: %TRACK-6-STATE: 1 ip sla 1 reachability Up -> Down

Message: RouterAer1: *Nov 30 04:31:14.426: %TRACK-6-STATE: 1 ip sla 1 reachability Down -> Up

Message: RouterAer1: *Nov 30 05:21:38.822: %TRACK-6-STATE: 1 ip sla 1 reachability Up -> Down

Message: RouterAer1: *Nov 30 05:21:43.822: %TRACK-6-STATE: 1 ip sla 1 reachability Down -> Up

And this same message repeats with my other Router:

Message: RouterAer2: Nov 30 03:20:19.728: %TRACK-6-STATE: 1 ip sla 1 reachability Up -> Down

Message: RouterAer2: Nov 30 03:20:24.728: %TRACK-6-STATE: 1 ip sla 1 reachability Down -> Up

I have been searching for an answer but I only find TRACK-5-STATE. I ve never seen "6".

I hope someone can help me with this issue. Thanks a lot.

Igalvarez,

This looks like the standard message produced by object tracking to report failures. Is it an icmp SLA? If so, and the link is not actually going down, you may try loosening the timeout and frequency of your SLA. What values is your SLA set to? The default is as follows.

ip sla 1
 timeout 5000
 frequency 60
