L2TP and Channel-group

Hello team,

As I understand , channel-forming protocols are strictly point-to-point by nature. We need to aggregate them in one bundle by using l2tp. (Moving switches from one POP to another).

Just want to hear your opinion , should above configuration work ?

You may take a look on attached doc to understand changes in topology I talking about.

Thank you !

Hello Andri,

each 802.1Q tunnel needs to use a distinct customer vlan-id in order to build 4 point-to-point transport services.

the second 6500 on the right cannot be at the same time a L2 service provider device and a L2 CE device.

It can terminates the 4 802.1Q tunneling links to another device or it can act as a L2 CE with two bundles configured.

L2 protocol tunneling requires explicit configuration to carry PAGP frames over the tunnel.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
