LACP between 3750x and 4500x

I seem to be having issues creating a LACP connection between a 3750x and 4500x switch. I've set a lot of these up on 3750x switches but on the 4500x there is no dot1q option.

Here is my 3750x config

interface Port-channel36
description To_Storage_Switch_4500x
switchport trunk allowed vlan 16
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk

Here is my 4500x config

interface Port-channel1
description To_RDS_Switch
switchport
switchport trunk allowed vlan 16
switchport mode trunk

Any suggestions?

Might of figured it out. I had no access ports with vlan 16 on them and until I did that vlan 16 didn't show up on the switch.

But out of curiosity why doesn't the 4500x have the dot1q encapsulation option?

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q is an old command and no longer needed as most newer IOS, dot.1q is default and so show run does not show it any more.
