LACP on ISR 2951 ... Layer2 Port Channel

Hi Team,

Can you let me know how to enable LACP on cisco 2951 Version 15.2(4)M7

Below is my config:

Router:

interface Port-channel1.1
 description DEVICES$FW_INSIDE$$ETH-LAN$
 encapsulation dot1Q 1 native
 ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
 no ip redirects
 no ip unreachables
 no ip proxy-arp
 ip flow ingress
 ip nat inside
 ip virtual-reassembly in max-reassemblies 1024
 zone-member security in-zone
 ip tcp adjust-mss 1300
 ip policy route-map PBR
!
interface Port-channel1.2
 description AFULL$FW_INSIDE$$ETH-LAN$
 encapsulation dot1Q 2
 ip address 1.1.2.1 255.255.255.0
 no ip redirects
 no ip unreachables
 no ip proxy-arp
 ip flow ingress
 ip nat inside
 ip virtual-reassembly in max-reassemblies 1024
 zone-member security in-zone
 ip tcp adjust-mss 1300
 ip policy route-map PBR

Switch:

interface Bridge-Aggregation1
 port link-type hybrid
port hybrid vlan 1 to 4 tagged
 link-aggregation mode dynamic
#
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
 port link-type hybrid
port hybrid vlan 1 to 4 tagged
 poe enable
 stp edged-port enable
 port link-aggregation group 1
#
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/2
 port link-type hybrid
port hybrid vlan 1 to 4 tagged
 poe enable
 stp edged-port enable
 port link-aggregation group 1

When i enable LACP on the HP switch by giving the command  link-aggregation mode dynamic

There is no traffic between the router and HP but if i disable LACP on the HP switch ... traffic is flowing without any problem.

Can you guys help me to enable LACP on the cisco 2951 as i don't see any cli related to lacp.... but i need to enable LACP on both router and the HP switch....

in other words how do i enable lacp on cisco 2951 router

You can't - it's not supported.  The only option you have is 'bundling' the ports into a port-channel (as you have done) which just aggregates them, but there is no actual link aggregation protocol running.

Hi Reuben,

Thank you .... well that is sad based on the price of ISR ... i was thinking if i can enable lacp on the ISR i can have the same settings on the HP switch for our router and firewall. And if any one goes down ... i can just manually connect whichever one is working on the HP switch....

Now my settings is in such a way that when i want to connect the Firewall to the HP switch i have to enable LACP and when i want to connect the ISR to HP switch i have to disable LACP on the switch... which is not good .... if something happen especially when i'm out of town......

sob...
