LAN messenger that works with multiple vlans

We had an environment where all hosts reside on the same  network and my LAN messenger works great. Now we have segmented our  network into multiple VLANs and as expected, the LAN messenger no longer  works.

We have a (slow) internet connection also, but we want the messenger to  be used only for our intranet purposes (sometimes transfer huge files  also). With LAN messenger, it's not a problem because the traffic never  goes to internet.

Is there any messenger that works in multiple VLAN environment? Right now I have blocked intervlan communication via ACL but I can allow for specific ports used by the software.

Also, I want to mention that the clients use DHCP(Router works as DHCP Server).

Any help in this direction would be appreciated.

Some messengers supports multi-LAN connection.

As I understood you  can check settings like these
