Line Protocol Down

Hi,

i appreciate if anybody could help me.

i have used Leased Line Router 1841 series. i erased all the config.

when i reload the router and configured the F0/0 with ip address 192.168.1.2.

Router is connected to a latop with a crossover cable.

Router#sh ip int brief

FastEthernet0/0            unassigned      YES NVRAM  administratively down down

FastEthernet0/1            192.168.1.2     YES manual up                    down

Serial0/0/0                unassigned      YES NVRAM  administratively down down

Above is the error Showing Line Protocol down.

anybody can guide to set it up.

Hi,

Could you confirm your laptop is connected in FE0/1? Your FE0/0 is in shutdown.

You can try with a straight cable and play around speed/duplex on both ends.
