%% Low on memory; try again later

Dear Folkz,

I've 1905 router running with c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.151-2.T2.bin.

I'm getting "%% Low on memory; try again later" whenever taking console.

We've the below logs from the router.

%SYS-2-MALLOCFAIL: Memory allocation of 21840 bytes failed from 0x24890DB0, alignment 0

Pool: Processor  Free: 175960  Cause: Memory fragmentation

Alternate Pool: None  Free: 0  Cause: No Alternate pool

-Process= "Licensing Auto Update Process", ipl= 0, pid= 12 -Traceback= 0x23414708z 0x24A13350z 0x24885A78z 0x248BD2FCz 0x2487FEB4z 0x2487DD1Cz 0x2487E648z 0x2487D614z 0x2102AC40z 0x233E7980z 0x233E7964z

*Aug  6 05:06:55.442: %LICENSE-2-VLS_ERROR: 'VLSnotifyBirthAndExpiryEvents' failed with an error - rc = 25 - 'Error[25]: Could not understand the message received from license server on host "no-net".

Hi Muru,

I would check the memory/cpu utilization and see if there anything that is eating the memory that you could free.

It looks like a bug and you may need to reboot your router.

  Unless it free's up in a day or so the only fix for this is going to be to reload the box. It apparently has some sort of memory leak . Check for issues with your code release in bugtool.

It's a known memory leak bug.  You'll need to upgrade your IOS.
