hello i was wondering if anyone can tell me an easy way to reset a LWAPP 1231G-A-K9 back to a stand alone unit? i have three an they are light weight, i was hoping to change them back?

Hi David,
that should be quiet easy, please try this...
- Download the standalone IOS Image you want to use.
- Unplugged the power hold the mode button and put the power back on.
- Hold the mode button for at least 20 second.
- The AP now has an ip address of 10.0.0.1 and is looking for the file :
ftp://255.255.255.255/c1240-k9w7-tar.default
place a tftp server with the file in the subent 10.0.0.0/8 and the AP will automatically upload the IOS file to the AP and after a automatic reboot of the AP and is back with an normal IOS

I prefer tftp32 (32bit) or 64(64bit) depends on your workstation or server.
After you start the tool it select your NIC and IP automatic.
Put the IOS file in the diectory you see there or choose the directory you want in the tool.
Disable your local firewall or open the necessary ports.
thats all, you will see after the startof tha tool, the tool is quiet easy.
