mac acl on cisco 3750

hi ;

i have created macl on cisco 3750 but it's not working ?

are there any limitations about 3750 or mac acl ?

what is wrong ?

my config is

mac access-list extended macbased

deny   any any

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/40

switchport access vlan 33

switchport mode access

mac access-group macbased in

DemoSwitch#sho mac access-group inte gi 1/0/40

Interface GigabitEthernet1/0/40:

   Inbound access-list is macbased

   Outbound access-list is not set

Hi,

Your config is correct.  Try passing traffic through port 1/0/40.  It should be denied.

Traffic passes through  , acl is not working.

can you test your lab enviroment bs config is simple but does not work.

MAC ACLs only filter non IP traffic.

in fact arp packcets are not ip packet   , after i applied acl , client would not solve arp table so could not ping .

but arp request is working
