The customer has a 6504-E with IOS 12.2(33)SXH2a and with 2 modules
installed:
WS-SUP32-GE-3B
WS-X6548-GE-TX
During the installation the customer has noticed that the command:
"mac access-group" below the interface was not proposed if the
interface was configured as TRUNK, instead if the interface is
configured as ACCESS the command is proposed and accepted.
This problem is present only for ports of module WS-X6548-GE-TX.
the command on ports of module WS-SUP32-GE-3B works correctly .
Is this an IOS problem that can be solved by an IOS upgrade
or is it a hardware limitation ?
Many thanks for your updated.
Regards , Hubert.

Do you have '#spanning-tree extend system-id' enabled globally?

Hi ,
the customer has checked and the Extended system ID is enabled
Sorry , I do not understand the relationship
of this command with the Mac command missing problem ?
I think more that the mac command is related to a vlan and thus cannot be passed on a port in trunking mode as several vlan are passing on this trunk.
am I rigth ?
