Hi When we issue command show version, we get the below. Sometime we get one number, but this time we got two numbers 3728850K and 6147K. What does that mean? Thank you
cisco ASR1002-X (2RU-X) processor (revision 2KP) with 3728850K/6147K bytes of memory
8388608K bytes of physical memory

Hi,
You total physical memory on the router is 8Gig (8388608)
Out of that 3728850 is for processor and 6147 for IO.

The explanation from Reza is valid here also. The router divides its memory into processor memory and I/O memory. The difference is that the ASR explicitly reports total memory while the 3825 does not report total memory here.

Thank you for your fast reply.
How about the below output? in this router3825, it does not show physical memory.
Cisco 3825 (revision 1.2) with 485375K/38912K bytes of memory
