Hi All

I am looking to upgrade a pair of 5540 firewalls that are configured in Failover Active/Standby.

The memory is 1024 and I need to upgrade them to 2048 in both boxes

I have the following link

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/asa-5500-x-series-next-generation-firewalls/111867-asa-failover-upgrade.html

However this is for IOS upgrade does anyone know the best methodology for doing the Memory on these firewalls

Many thanks

Hi,

Are you sure you need to upgrade the memory?  Below link shows that the 5540 comes with 2Gig memory by default.
