Hello there,
I wanted to change the mac address of a specific interface in my 2960 switch. According to many websites i've been to, this can be easily done by using the "mac-address" command under any interface. But, that command does not exist in my switch even though i have the newest IOS (version 15). I even tried it on my 3560G switch but with no luck.
********************************
L2-Switch(config)#int fa 0/8
L2-Switch(config-if)#mac?
mac macro
********************************
What could be the reason?

This isn't supported on fixed configuration switches:

What is a fixed configuration switch?

I modular switch allows you to add cards (6500, 4500, 6800), a fixed configuration switch doesn't (2960, 3560, 4948).

mmacdonald70,
According to the website you have provided me,
"
2950(config)#interface fa0/2 2950(config-if)#mac-address 0007.0007.0002 2950(config-if)#interface vlan 2 2950(config-if)#mac-address 0007.0007.0022 "
I believe 2950 is a fixed configuration switch and it has the ability to change the mac address of its interfaces. It doesn't make sense to me.
