Mixing SFPs in a WS-C2960S-24PD-L

Hi,

I am trying to find documentation on this through the Cisco website but have been unsuccessful. I have a WS-C2960S-24PD-L switch with two SFP+ ports. The data sheet says for uplinks  -  "2 Ten Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ or 2 One Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports". Does anyone know if it is possible to use one of each? I need to run one 10G uplink and one 1G uplink. Thanks.

Hi,

Have never tried it, but you should be able to mix them as it is based on the optic. If you use SFP+ that is for 10G and if you use SFP that is for 1G.
