Hi !
I have been reading some extra information about monitor sessions (SPAN) and I just want to confirm if monitor session can be identified by ''name'' additionally to his ''SPAN session number''.
This is because my customer wants to identify monitor sessions by ''a name'' instead of ''a number''...
Is that possible?
Regards,

Hello guruiz,
I have not seen anywhere where cisco have stated that you can use a 'name' - its always been a numerical value.

Of what I have seen, the syntax has remained:
'monitor session session_number ......'
Hope this helps.

Thanks Bilal,
I was almost sure about that. Now, due your kind answer, I am sure that I can't configure a specific name to a monitor session (so far......).
Thanks again.
