Hello everyone,
hope everything is ok.
Guys, today my colleagues from WinTel team move blade server from one chassis to one other and after that, no network connectivity;
The configuration was applied at the blade switch slot/port configuration that shoud working on this blade, but no effect.
I checked that the chassis are in different model (HS21 and HS22), but IBM guys advised us that isn't a problem just because this blade is compatible in each;
I found the uniq point of difference:
from old chassis: switch slot/port are baseX:
sh int gig0/4 capa
GigabitEthernet0/4
Model: WS-CBS3012-IBM-I
Type: 1000BaseX
Speed: 1000
Duplex: full
Trunk encap. type: 802.1Q
Trunk mode: on,off,desirable,nonegotiate
Channel: yes
Broadcast suppression: percentage(0-100)
Flowcontrol: rx-(off,on,desired),tx-(none)
Fast Start: yes
QoS scheduling: rx-(not configurable on per port basis),
tx-(4q3t) (3t: Two configurable values and one fixed.)
CoS rewrite: yes
ToS rewrite: yes
UDLD: yes
Inline power: no
SPAN: source/destination
PortSecure: yes
Dot1x: yes
to new chassis: switch slot/port are SERDES,
sh int gi0/7 capa
GigabitEthernet0/7
Model: OS-CIGESM-18TT-EBU
Type: 1000Mbps SERDES
Speed: 1000
Duplex: full
UDLD: no
Trunk encap. type: 802.1Q
Trunk mode: on,off,desirable,nonegotiate
Channel: yes
Broadcast suppression: percentage(0-100)
Flowcontrol: rx-(off,on,desired),tx-(off,on,desired)
Fast Start: yes
CoS rewrite: yes
ToS rewrite: yes
Inline power: no
SPAN: source/destination
PortSecure: Yes
Dot1x: Yes
each one is 1GigabitEthernet.
Also, the team responsible to mgmt of this chassis, had updated the firmaware at the blade chassis.
Have someone any ideas that which cause the no network connectivity?
