Hello,
How do you specify the multicast PIM RP-address when the intended RP is a pair of router's running HSRP? I have tried using the commands documented in 'HSRP aware PIM' on the router interfaces, and declaring the RP using the standby (vip) address. This however doesn't work, and I'm forced to resort back to specifying the interface IP of the individual device.
Thanks,

Hi,
The way to make both routers RP using the same address is to configured "anycast RP". Please refer to the following to learn more about "anycast RP".

Thanks - I've got it working as per the documentation and your suggestion.
Should I keep the HSRP aware PIM settings, or can they be removed?
