Multicast working on one direction only

Hi

Can someone please advise on the below multicast issue:-

We have 2 networks, legacy and new. The two networks connect via bgp. MSDP is used in the new network to stitch together the multicast tree.

Multicast is working in one direction only. CCTV on the new network streams multicast across to a recording platform on the legacy network.

However we also have a number of IPTV units on the new network which should receive multicast streams from a streaming source on the legacy network. The IPTV streaming server and multicast RP sit in the legacy network.

The receivers are connected to an access switch which in turn connects to a distribution switch. The Dist switch is running hsrp for the iptv vlan.

The Dist switch connects via p2p links to a mini core (ospf), the mini core connects via p2p to the main core (bgp). The main core connects via bgp to the legacy network.

All PIM neighbour relationships appear to have formed from dist through to legacy network.
The RP on the legacy network is reachable from the dist switch on the new network

The multicast routing table on the main core is empty? What am I missing?

is "default" the only active vrf?

Hi Peter

There are other vrf's however none participate in multicast. Only networks in the GRT.

Thanks
