Hi, Can someone enlighten me on this subject.
I have 2 switches, a 6513 configured with vlan 50 and IP PIM SPARSE-DENSE MODE enabled. Linked up with a 3560 also configured with vlan 50.
On the 3560, I have the source server with an image software and on the 6513, I have the clients.
When I initiate the multicast, the client do join the group and transfer begins. However, the transfer speed is extremely slow.
Since this is a layer 2 deployment, I'm guessing that I don't need anything else.
Am I missing something ?
Thanks !

Hi,
You shouldn't need anything else. On the layer-2 3560, did you enable "ip igmp snooping querier"
Also, it maybe the software you are using to transfer. Usually, VLC works pretty good.

Hi Reza,
This afternoon, I was reading up on this command. I haven't had the chance to try it. According to documentation, this command needs a source IP address which belongs to the subnet.
I will definitely try it.
Thanks for your suggestion.
