Hello!
We are a small ISP distributing internet access for our customers via vlan sub-interface. At this moment we plan suggest for customers service IPTV. For that purpose we create special vlan and set streamers and middleware in that vlan. On our switches(3750&2950&2960) configure MVR feature and can now access multicast stream from his own vlan. If customer use vlc all work fine. Problem begins when we try to use set-top-box. It use DHCP-client to recieve ip address. Is possible to define one DHCP ip-pool to assign addresses to all of such set-top-box ? What is strategy in this situation ? Is possible use one port of switch for both services ? Or simple give customers 2 ports with different services ?
