My Frame travels which interface in Port-channel

Folks:

I am having some sporadic performance issues between two 2960x switch, which are connected by a port-channel with 4 interfaces. Due to the latter, I am suspecting that one of my interfaces in the port-channel is causing the issue.

How or is there a way to determine which path my frame is taking - more specifically which interface my frame leaves or arrives on? According to the Rx/Tx load - this issue is not caused by network bandwidth, since I have 4x1Gbps for my port-channel; however, I see slow file transfer speeds from these two switches.

Thank you

jj

Hi,

Try using this command and use the source and destination mac to see which path the packet is taking.

test etherchannel load-balance interface port-channel xx ?
