N9K-C93180YC-FX in NX-OS Mode

Can the N9K-C93180YC-FX in NX-OS mode connect 4 x 10 Gbps ports using a breakout cable to a FEX 40G port on the N2K-C2332TQ?
Both devices do support the breakout cable QSFP-H40G-AOC10M= according to Cisco's transceivers site.

So my question is whether this cablle will allow the connection to work in the following direction?

4 x 10 G ports on the Nexus N9K-C93180YC-FX in NX-OS mode

to

1 x 40 G port on the N2K-C2332TQ FEX.

Thanks in advance,

Bernard.

QSFP-H40G-AOC10M= cable is not a breakout cable and it will not work.

If you meant QSFP-4X10G-AOC10M which is a breakout cable it should work

https://www.ciscolive.com/global/on-demand-library/?search=3454#/session/14551776429230011d6G (slide 93)

Also the data sheet shows that the QSFP-4X10G-AOC10M cable is support for fabric interface port.

Nazim, Thank you for your reply, yes you're right the breakout cable is QSFP-4X10G-AOC10M as you said, I just cut and pasted the number for the direct 40 Gig cable.

In the documentation it is pretty clear that it should work but there have been differences in ASICs and I was told of similar problems with earlier models of N5672, but it seems that it should work with the newer N9K.

Thanks again.

Hello Nazim,

we finally decided to use the N9K-C9336C-FX2 model for better future expansion capabilities.
