Does anybody happen to know if IPX packets can be NATed the same way IP packets are. If not, what is the alternative to NAT the ipx traffic?
thanks.

To my knowledge, there is no way to change the NAT capabilities for IPX. NAT was defined as a way to address the "shortage" of IPv4 addresses on the Internet. Since IPX isn't routed across the Internet, there is usually no issue with running out of addresses. What is the reason that you are looking for some way to do this? Maybe there is an alternative way to address this issue.

thanks for your response. we have a disaster recovery test coming up and the servers that are being restored at the recovery site have the same name, ip and ipx addresses as the production servers(W2K and Netware 5). the test id being performed from within the production environment, so we are looking to NAT all the destination addresses, so that they would not spill into the production environment during the test.
