hello all:
I need to build a switched network to support a 1G HPC grid. I need a 1G switch at the access layer/top-of-rack and I want it to be a routed access layer (L3 isolation between racks). Then I will need a core/spine interconnect. Basically, a leaf and spine/CLOS.
Anyway, the bigger question here is what 1G switch can I use for this from Cisco? I cannot use the 1G FEXs because they are L2 constructs, not L3. I am thinking the 4948 or 4900. I want 10G uplinks, by the way.
Can anyone offer a different switch or perspective on my approach?
Thanks
