Hi -
can someone recommend an appliance that can block access to certain websites and pplications (streaming video and audio, mostly) and track the user who is attempting to access such websites?
Ideally, the filtering would occur between L4-L7. Network-based filtering solely is not ideal at all. Would like to be able to block a range of UDP ports, web addresses, well-known applications, porn sites, music video download dites, etc...you get the pciture.
I know there are many many appliances and solutions for this, so I am not looking for a 2,000-solution answer...
Here is the setup:
Small private network - maybe 30 to 40 users.
Its a small business. No sophisticated IT guy on site. Their budget is limited.
They need a solution that is pretty easy to setup, even for a non-security expert. Preferaby GUI based. Like a SOHO solution...
Thoughts?

Unfortunatelly there is always a pro and a con at least for the solutions.
I would recommend squid + webmin to manage, but that would require a person that knows linux of course at least in the implementation.
There is also websense - which works OK for small business.
