Hello All,

Could you please suggest Mac & model of Cisco 24&48 copper port for best performance and bandwidth throughput for Data Center. and please share the data sheet.

Hi shivccna,

I will recommend you Cisco Nexus 3048, or if your looking for normal switch with layer 3 features go for 3850.

Hello MUHAMMAD,

Thanks for your suggestion now we have selected 3850 switch for our network DC. Could you please let me know can it's support some features just like- BGP,IBGP Qas,EIGRP,OSPF,and IPv6,

And how much bandwidth we can use on uplink port.

With the right switch, you can get 4x10G SFP+ slots; remember not ALL 3850 models will allow that.  Make sure you don't need fiber connectivity beyond those 4; although you could easily stack another 3850 later if you needed.

Remember to get the right IOS and licenses to support IPv6 and BGP (IP Services).

More information...

Do you already have L3 in the environment, or is this to be the new core?

Is this to be the ONLY switch in the environment?  If not, what links to the rest of the network.  Is this to be the core switch, or just attached to an existing core?

Will users be using closets attached to this switch, or is there existing fiber switches already in place (and if so, what are they)?

Hii,

Currently we are not using any L3 switch in our network and got the uplink on copper.
