I am looking at getting some advice on extending my network with an amplifier or booster? At the moment I have a Cisco AIR - CAP1532I - E - K9.
The cable to the Cisco AIR-CAP1532I-E-K9 is pretty long already, what would be the best to do this?
Thanks

How long is pretty long? (Copper Ethernet, with correct cabling, supports 100m.)
As to boosting the signal, if you insert a small (e.g. 4 port) dumb switch, each side of that insertion can support 100m.
BTW, depending how much over your are, and the quality of your cable, and what speed you're running at, you might get a bit more than 100m. Also if you lower your speed, you can often eke additional distance.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I've got it as close to 100m as I could. With the 4 port switch will this give me another 100m?
At the minute where this is wireless connected the signal is poor, I'd like to keep it wireless to as this will be connected to a couple of laptops.
The Cisco AIR - CAP1532I - E - K9 is outdoors so this might be difficult?

Yup.
If your dealing with outdoors and/or wireless, there's also wireless repeaters (which some APs can perform the role of). Likely a more expensive solution than an dumb 4 port switch.

Yeah the AP I was talking is currently outside, maybe adding a 4 port switch will do the trick and I can just move the Cisco AIR - CAP1532I - E - K9 closer. Just need it to stretch a bit further.
Thank you for your help
