I know the 7200 VXR platform has been around for a while. Has Cisco announced any plans for it's next-gen router at this level? I think it's weird that I can still only get a port-adapter with 1 GE interface on it. I'm trying to find somthing that will be able to route quickly between Nexus 5ks. I was thinking the 7200 could do the job, but looking more closely at it, I'm not convinced right now... I wanted to have a pair of 7200s route for my WAN, do DMVPN, and handly my HQ routing. Might sound like a lot, but it's really not. The design I put together would require the 7200s to have 6x 1g interfaces minimum; 2x to each N5k bundled, one to the other 7200, and one to WAN. It appears that my only option to get these GE interfaces are PA-GE. Could I do this task with a Cisco 3945E? The Stat's I've seen for it are pretty epic.
