Nexus 2k extender and Isilon

Hello,

I apologize in advance if this is the incorrect community to post in.

I work for Isilon (EMC) and have a customer that is attempting to use a Cisco 5k and a Cisco 7k switch with a Nexus 2k fabric extender.

When attempting to use the fabric extender, the customer is not able to use LACP. It can be configured to be used as a regular port channel with a single connection, just not as LACP.

Connecting the Isilon directly to the 5k or 7k switch, LACP works correctly.

Does the Nexus 2k fabric extender work with LACP?

If so, is there a special configuration needed?

Currently, I have requested the switch configurations, but do not have them yet.

Configuration within the Isilon is very minimal and consists of selecting the interface and selecting LACP.

Hi Carl,

The 2ks are just extensions to the 5ks or 7ks. So the config should be the same whether you connect the Isilon directly to the 5k, 7k or the 2k.

Can you post the config when you get it?
