If I want to limit the multicast packet to 100pps for a switch port egress side, can Nexus 3548-X realize this? If yes, what the config would be? if no, which version OS does support to realize this?

Hello,

the QoS options on the 3548X switch appear to be very limited. Policing and shaping are not supported at all; the reason being is (most likely) that this switch is built for extreme low latencies, to be used in environments such as stock market exchanges, where nanosecond speeds matter.

So I don't think you can limit multicast traffic the way you want on that platform...

Thank you for your reply, we do want to use this Nexus 3845-X to replace our current low latency switch Arista 7150S for our high-frequency trading business, Japan exchange require all its subscriber to implement the “storm-control” which requires to limit the multicast packets goes to them.


Any idea about how we can fulfill the exchange requirement?
