Nexus 5010 VPC Issue

Dear All,

Just recently enable VPC on Nexus (5010 & 2148T) switches, it went well and working fine. However when we do the underneath, issue occur.

Case 1

Restart the Server - when we restart/shutdown & turn on the server, its unreachable (you could not ping it).

Upong verification both interfaces in Nexus 5010-1 & Nexus 5010-2 are up, VPCs & port-channel are also up

   

Workaround - shutdown the Nexus 5010-2 (role is secondary) physical port and enable it again - operation back to normal.

Case 2

When you shutdown one of the VPC member interface (either in Nexus 5010-1 or Nexus 5010-2) where the Server is connected - Server is still reachable, however when you Enable it, issue arrise and Server is unreachable

Workaround - remove the channel group of both interfaces and remove the port-channel as well, and start again the VPC configuration.

Note:

I also attached the VPC configuration for reference.
