Hi everyone.
I've been facing a strange behaviaour configuring VRRP on two NEXUS 5548.
The scenario is as follow
Configuration on N5k-1:
interface VlanXXX
no shutdown
no ip redirects
ip address 192.XXX.XXX.2/29
vrrp 100
priority 150
address 192.XXX.XXX.1
no shutdown
interface port-channel100
switchport mode trunk
vpc 100
switchport trunk allowed vlan XXX
Show port-channel summary
100 Po100(SU) Eth NONE Eth x/y/z(P)
Configuration on N5k-2:
interface VlanXXX
no shutdown
no ip redirects
ip address 192.XXX.XXX.3/29
vrrp 100
address 192.168.200.1
no shutdown
interface port-channel100
switchport mode trunk
vpc 100
switchport trunk allowed vlan XXX
Show port-channel summary
100 Po100(SU) Eth NONE Eth x/y/z(P)
What happen is that from the "OTHER SWITCH" I can't ping the VRRP address but I see the complete arp; and of course I can't reach LAN A.
If I use the vlan XXX address on N5k-1 as next hop to reach LAN A everything works properly.
ANY IDEAS/SUGGESTION TO SOLVE IT??
PS: the release on both N5k is n5000-uk9.5.0.3.N1.1c

UPDATE: even with HSRP instead of VRRP the behaviour is the same

Hi,
Do the nexus have installed the L3 daughter card? and the L3 license? That could be the problem...
Can you paste a show module and show license commands?
Regards,
Jose.

Hi,
The L3 daughter card and licenses have been already installed properly.
We've found out that somehow the Nexus looses the licensed feature after a reload.
We had to uninstall the licenses and install them back.
This behaviour is under observation by TAC now.
Thanks for answering, I'll give un update as soon as possible
